Service and Maintenance
Security System Accreditation
Whether it’s an intruder alarm system, CCTV system, access control or automated gates, you really should choose a third party accredited fire company for servicing and maintenance.
Triple Star Fire and Security are accredited by SSAIB for security systems, and by GateSafe Premier for automated gates.
SSAIB is the leading certification body for companies providing security systems and services. Certification with SSAIB is a mark of excellence, and highly regarded in the security industry.
SSAIB seeks to establish compliance of security systems with the relevant standards for each system. As a registered company we need to meet strict criteria to uphold our certification. They come along every so often to audit our security installations and screen our business practices. In addition to this, they check that our security installation services comply with the requirements of international, European or British Standards, or SSAIB Codes of Practice as appropriate.
For automated gates, Triple Star Fire and Security are listed on the National Register of GateSafe trained installers.
GateSafe exists to:
-
provide independent safety assessments of automated gate installations
-
introduce new initiatives designed to improve the safety of automated gates and barriers
-
educate installers by delivering specialist accredited training every month to ensure installers are constantly improving their understanding of automated gate safety
Security System Maintenance
Our service engineers are top notch. They know all there is to know about the different systems out there. And they know exactly what they’re doing to keep your security system in prime working order.
How often do you need your system maintaining?
Well, that all depends on whether it’s a CCTV system, intruder alarm etc. But it also depends on the size and complexity of the system.
But let’s be upfront here.
It’s not a legal requirement to have your security systems maintained.
Apart from automated gates and barriers. They need a service and maintenance visit twice a year. Automated gates have caused deaths in recent years, so it is absolutely crucial to have them maintained regularly.
But intruder alarms, CCTV systems etc – unless it’s stipulated by your insurance company, it’s simply a recommendation that they are serviced regularly.
So, let’s go back to the car analogy from earlier. Whilst it’s not legally required to have it serviced, it would be foolish having invested in a system to keep you, your staff and your business safe from crime fail on you when you need it most.
